Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A country known for adventure and fun; New Zealand is the ultimate destination for the adventurous traveler. From go-karting to jet boat rides and the Zorb Balls that originated in New Zealand there are several activities fit for all ages. Keep reading to learn about my personal top 5 fun and adventurous activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skyline New Zealand  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located near Rotorua on the North Island of New Zealand is Skyline New Zealand, an adventure park filled with several fun activities. Some of the activities include a gondola, luge track, zip lines, and mountain bike trails. Skyline New Zealand offers several package deals that provide visitors the opportunity to try multiple activities. My favorite activities were the luge and the gondola. The luge is a unique and fun activity that uses a part go-cart and part toboggan contraption that is fueled by gravity that gives the rider full control over speed and direction! Additionally, Skyline New Zealand also offers a night luge option where the track is surrounded by led lights! A more relaxing but still enjoyable attraction is the gondola. This gondola offers gorgeous views of the city of Rotorua and Lake Rotorua. Prepare for adventure and beautiful views when visiting Skyline New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zorb Balls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zorb Balls are a unique and exciting activity that originated in New Zealand. If you try this activity, make sure you prepare for a thrilling and unique plummet down the side of a hill. But don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s not as terrifying as it sounds as you\u2019re inside a giant inflatable ball with 40 liters of fresh water that makes the ride feel like a water slide. Zorb Balls offer four fun and exhilarating tracks that roll you down the side of Mount Ngongotaha near Rotorua. In the winter this water is warm and in the summer it\u2019s cool. Trust me, you won\u2019t be able to stop laughing and sliding while rolling down these courses! This unique and fun activity will surely make your New Zealand trip stand out amongst others!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shotover Jet <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another activity that originated in New Zealand is the Shotover Jet. This fun and exhilarating jet boat ride will leave you excited to see what happens next. Shotover Jet is located at Arthur\u2019s Point on the South Island of New Zealand. Cruise at up to 90 kilometers per hour while the boat maneuvers between rocks and canyons. The unique ability of these jet boats to venture through shallow waters and narrow canyons provides passengers with gorgeous and unique views of New Zealand\u2019s nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlands Go Karting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When one thinks about fun and adventurous activities, Go Karting often comes to mind. If you are interested in Go Karting in New Zealand, I highly recommend the Highlands Go Karting course on the South Island near Queenstown. This outdoor course offers the most beautiful scenery while you Go Kart and race with your friends. In addition, this location has a small podium where the top three racers can get a photo! This Highlands track is 650 meters, and you can reach a speed of up to 50 kilometers per hour. Additionally, Highlands Go Karting offers both single and tandem kart options. This fun and exciting activity offers a little healthy competition and excitement to your trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weta Workshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Weta Workshop is a unique and enjoyable New Zealand attraction. If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings movies and other similar works of cinematic art, this attraction needs to be added to your New Zealand itinerary. I toured the location in Wellington but there is also one located in Auckland. The Wellington location was interesting, fun, and full of information. The Weta Workshop has won awards for its film effects with their work being used in The Hobbit, Avatar, The Lord of the Rings, and many others.  The tours that the Weta Workshop offers are a chance for the public to the artistry and creativity that take place in these workshops. You definitely don\u2019t want to miss this unique and fun tour while visiting New Zealand!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
